Single Review: Cosmo Sheldrake – ‘The Moss’

London based producer Cosmo Sheldrake is set to release his debut single The Moss via paradYse/Transgressive Records on 21st April.

The single (which is available to stream below) is certainly baffling and infectious. As Cosmo states The Moss as ‘an ode to nonsense for its own sake’. Invoking his spoken words from classic figures of nonsense literature place over jingly spiced mastered textures, ambient strings, swirling electronics backed by finely woven vocal harmonies and an Armenian Duduk (recorded at a folk session in a country pub in East Sussex).

The track was mixed by Tarek Musa and mastered at The Exchange in London. Cosmo is currently on his UK/European tour to support the release with the single launch at Sebright Arms in London on the 23rd April.
