It has been a very busy couple of years for Ryan Lott and his project Son Lux, spanning releases including critically acclaimed LP Lanturns and his remixed AIternate Worlds EP; teaming up with a wide selection of artists from Lorde and Beyonce’s producer Boot to Richard Parry (Arcade Fire), Peter Silberman (The Antlers), composers Nico Muhly, Caroline Shaw and showcasing his music to the world with successful tours across the US and Europe throughout 2014. Hard work truly pays off as Son Lux has just announce the signing to Glassnote Records.
Ryan is also known for his exquisite composing for the arts, with his latest work being the score for the film The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby, starring James McAvoy and Jessica Chastain. Talking about the score Ryan states, “Jessica Chastain’s character in the film is like glass; She is both rigid and extremely fragile. This inspired me to explore the sonic potential of tuned wine glasses, which became the primary source of sound and texture for the score.”
The score will be available on November 4th via Glassnote Records. Fans can preorder the score here and will instantly receive a download of No Fate Awaits Me.
